Adobe just moved its entire creative toolkit into ChatGPT. More than 70 apps — Photoshop, Firefly, Premiere, Acrobat, and more — now live inside a single chat window, so you can edit a photo, cut a video, or format a PDF without ever opening a separate app.
It’s a bet that convenience beats a dedicated interface, even for professional-grade tools. If Adobe’s plugin holds up under real production work, does the standalone creative app still have a reason to exist?

What’s new? Adobe launched a plugin for ChatGPT that brings more than 70 of its creative and productivity tools — including Photoshop, Firefly, Premiere, and Acrobat — directly into the chat window, so users can create and edit real files without leaving the conversation.

Typing "@Adobe" in a new chat pulls up the full toolkit, and ChatGPT automatically picks the right Adobe app for the request, from applying consistent styling across campaign photos to generating packaging mockups.
The plugin also generates on-brand assets straight from Firefly and turns long-form video into Reels-ready clips, plus spreadsheets into formatted PDFs like event badges and catalogs.
Guests can try it with limited tools, but signing in with an Adobe account unlocks generative features and pulls files straight from a user’s Creative Cloud library.

Adobe just put its entire creative suite inside the app hundreds of millions of people already open every day, betting that convenience beats a dedicated interface. For an audience that lives in Photoshop and Firefly, that’s one less reason to ever leave ChatGPT to get real work done.
